Zelenskyy expects assistance from partners to support the AFU's transition to a contract-based system and salary payments. E3 leaders supported the strengthening of sanctions against Russia.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy hopes for assistance from partners amid the need for additional funding for decent salaries as part of the transition of the Ukrainian army to a contract-based system, UNN reports.
"We need to transition the Ukrainian army to a contract-based system. Being a member of the military is dangerous, and we must ensure they have decent salaries because they are giving their lives. For this, we need additional funding. Currently, it is not even close to what Russia pays its mercenaries. I very much hope that our friends will help,"
He also reported on the discussion regarding the issue of sanctions. "Yesterday at the E3 meeting, everyone agreed that we need to strengthen sanctions against Russia," the President noted.
