Ukraine plans to hold a major food security summit in Turkey. This was discussed during the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Istanbul in March.

Ukrainian Ambassador Vasyl Bodnar said that Kyiv plans to hold a food security summit in Turkey. The diplomat said this in an interview with Yeni Şafak, reports UNN.

The Ukrainian ambassador to Turkey said that Kyiv and Ankara are actively cooperating. In particular, several high-level visits are planned.

Bodnar emphasized that on March 8, during the Ukrainian president's visit to Istanbul, the parties signed a number of important agreements and discussed a possible summit on food security.

After the Peace Summit in Switzerland, it was planned to hold a major food security summit in Turkey. This was also discussed by the presidents on March 8. (...) We expect this event to take place either in Ankara or Istanbul this year

The ambassador said that it is planned to expand the program of cooperation between Ukraine and Turkey, including in the construction industry. 

For example, the war in Ukraine has damaged roads, bridges and infrastructure, and Kyiv is currently negotiating with Turkish partners to rebuild them. Bodnar explained that in January they met with Trade Minister Omer Bolat to bring a group of experts on this issue to Ukraine

We must ensure that these companies enter reliable regions by conducting preliminary research. Now the first step is to plan a visit of Minister Bolat to Ukraine.
