In Bukovyna, border guards discovered and eliminated another channel for smuggling men across the state border. An old UAZ 452, popularly known as a "loaf," was used to smuggle the fugitives to Romania for 6-9 thousand euros. The price of the trip varied for different "tourists". This was reported by the State Border Guard Service, UNN reports.

The seven men agreed with a local resident to cross the border bypassing checkpoints. They paid him 6 to 9 thousand euros for this. At the appointed time, the group set off toward the neighboring country in a UAZ, where they were met by border guards.

Operational officers of the Chernivtsi Border Guard Detachment received information about the preparation of an illegal border crossing from Ukraine to Romania and acted promptly.

The State Border Guard Service said that the offenders tried to escape during the detention, but failed.

In the course of further work, the border guards found out that the seven men who wanted to illegally cross the border were residents of Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Dnipro and Kharkiv regions. Administrative reports were drawn up against all of them for violating the state border.

And their carrier will be held accountable for its actions under the Criminal Code. He is accused of violating Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
