The Cabinet of Ministers discussed the possibility of purchasing 1,000 houses in rural areas for IDPs

Yuliia Svyrydenko announced the allocation of 700 million UAH for housing for displaced persons. The government plans to purchase 1,000 houses in rural areas for IDPs.

The Cabinet of Ministers is working on expanding the network of temporary accommodation for internally displaced persons and their social support. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister Julia Svyrydenko, according to UNN.
We held a conference call on humanitarian issues with the regions. The focus is on housing for IDPs, support for vulnerable categories of people, and the functioning of social infrastructure. We are working on expanding the network of temporary accommodation and social support. Out of the 1 billion UAH subvention, the regions have already allocated almost 700 million UAH for the arrangement of housing for IDPs, particularly for people with limited mobility and people with disabilities
At the same time, according to her, 14 regions have already fully utilized the allocated funds.
Attention was drawn to delays in the Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, and Poltava regions. Separately, we discussed the draft program for the purchase of 1,000 houses in rural areas for IDPs
As a reminder
The Government allocated 10.6 billion UAH for payments to IDPs and expanded assistance for children. Displaced persons will be compensated for 70% of the down payment and annual mortgage payments.
