Russian occupiers struck a civilian cargo vessel GOLDEN LEO (flag of Guinea-Bissau, owner Turkey) with three Kh-59/Kh-69 cruise missiles, which at the time of the attack was moving out of the combat zone with a cargo of grain, reports UNN citing the Ukrainian Navy.

As reported by the Navy, the impact hit the area of the starboard side of the superstructure, and a fire broke out on board.

As a result of the strike, 5 people were killed. The fate of another 5 crew members is unknown, search operations are ongoing. The technical condition of the vessel is being clarified

Units of the Ukrainian Navy and the Maritime Search and Rescue Service were involved in providing assistance. As of 20:30, eight crew members were evacuated to one of the hospitals in Odesa.
