Russia attempts to evade responsibility for the strike on Kyiv with fakes - CCD
Kyiv • UNN
The CCD has exposed Russian disinformation regarding mass strikes on civilian targets in Kyiv. Propaganda is labeling the fire at the Lavra and the shelling of the court as Ukrainian provocations.

Russian propaganda has launched a large-scale disinformation campaign, attempting to justify massive strikes on civilian and cultural sites in Kyiv on the night of June 15 this year and to absolve itself of responsibility for its own war crimes. This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation of the NSDC of Ukraine (CCD), according to UNN.

Hostile resources are operating according to a classic scenario: they attempt to disguise overt terror against the civilian population as "strikes on military targets" or shift the blame onto Ukraine itself, the report states.
In particular, propagandists are calling the large-scale fire at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra (a UNESCO site) a "Ukrainian provocation" and "self-immolation." Similarly, the enemy is spreading conspiracy theories about the alleged involvement of the Ukrainian authorities in the strike on the building of the High Anti-Corruption Court.
The Dovzhenko Film Studios were declared a "legitimate military target" because they are a "breeding ground for propaganda." There are also planted reports claiming that weapon production workshops disguised as civilian objects are being set up en masse in Kyiv — in the imagination of Russian propagandists, every building is a "military target."
There were also the now-traditional accusations against "Ukrainian air defense" for damage to civilian buildings.
All responsibility for the deaths and injuries of peaceful Kyiv residents, and the destruction of historical and civilian buildings, lies solely with Russia, and it must be punished for this. No manipulations, conspiracy theories, or attempts to grant civilian objects "military status" will help the aggressor hide another war crime,
