Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made a series of phone calls to several of his counterparts today. This was reported by the country's semi-official state news agency Tasnim, according to UNN with reference to CNN.

According to Tasnim, Araghchi held talks with the foreign ministers of Turkey, Egypt, Qatar, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Azerbaijan to brief them on the latest developments regarding efforts aimed at ending the U.S. and Israeli war with Iran.

According to sources, this comes after Iran sent its latest proposal for negotiations with the United States to Pakistani mediators.

Earlier on Friday, Tasnim also reported that Araghchi held a conversation with EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, where they "discussed and exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments."

The European Commission confirmed the call between Kallas and Araghchi, telling CNN that they discussed "ongoing diplomatic efforts to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and long-term security arrangements."

The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs also confirmed that its minister, Hakan Fidan, spoke with Araghchi regarding the negotiations.
