Fire in Zhytomyr region nature reserve extinguished after four days following Russian attack

In the "Drevlianskyi" Nature Reserve in the Zhytomyr region, a fire covering 25 hectares was liquidated following Russian attacks. The blaze was fought for four days using specialized equipment and UAVs.

In the Zhytomyr region, firefighters have extinguished a forest fire in the north of the region within the territory of the "Drevlianskyi" Nature Reserve, which broke out as a result of Russian attacks. This was reported by UNN with reference to a statement from the State Emergency Service.
Details
It is noted that due to strong wind gusts, the fire spread over an area of about 25 hectares.
To prevent its further spread, rescuers carried out extinguishing operations along the edge on the eastern and southern sides of the hotspot. Simultaneously, employees of the forest protection enterprise established an internal parallel mineralized strip to limit the spread of the fire. UAVs were used for reconnaissance and monitoring of the situation
It is indicated that the firefighting efforts lasted for 4 days. About 40 rescuers from the State Emergency Service and employees of the forest protection enterprise worked on-site, along with 10 units of equipment.
