Josep Borrell announced further diplomatic pressure on the DPRK for sending its military to Russia. The EU is consulting with partners in the Indo-Pacific region to counter this threat.
The European Union will continue to put diplomatic pressure on the DPRK for sending its military to Russia to participate in the war against Ukraine. This was stated by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell during a joint press conference with Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga, UNN reports.
"The globalization of war. Who could have imagined that North Korean troops would fight against Ukrainian troops? I was in Seoul for a reason, I was there to put diplomatic pressure in the Indo-Pacific region on North Korea and their other neighbors to realize that this is not the right way. We will continue to apply diplomatic pressure to avoid an increase in this presence," Borrell said.
