Earlier today, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg recalled in Brussels, where NATO's chiefs of diplomacy gathered for a meeting, that last year in Vilnius, the Allies agreed on a package of measures to bring Ukraine closer to NATO. "As we prepare for the Washington Summit, we are working together to secure Ukraine's path to NATO membership. This is important for Ukraine's security and our security," Stoltenberg said.

He also announced ministerial discussions on further strengthening support for Ukraine, including the creation of a "more robust and predictable framework" for NATO's support to Ukraine. He emphasized that the Alliance is "looking at even stronger ways to organize support, as well as discussing long-term financial commitments" from NATO Allies.

The NATO Secretary General indicated that the ministers will address "Ukraine's immediate practical and political needs, including how to strengthen NATO's support for Ukraine".
