President of Romania Nicușor Dan stated that a tanker heading to the port of Reni in Odesa region was struck off the country's coast last night. He wrote about this on the social network "X", reports UNN.

According to Dan, the vessel LPG Gas Lisbon, sailing under the Liberian flag, was struck outside Romania's territorial waters, approximately 20 nautical miles from the Romanian coast.
Rescue services arrived at the scene. They evacuated the entire crew, including three injured crew members. All were safely brought ashore.
As Nicușor Dan noted, this incident is most likely part of Russian armed aggression against Ukraine. He added that the vessel was heading to the Ukrainian port of Reni from the Egyptian port of Alexandria.
