97 out of 119 Russian drones neutralized overnight over Ukraine

On the night of June 17, the enemy launched 119 UAVs of various types. Air defense forces neutralized 97 drones, with hits recorded at 11 locations.

Russia struck Ukraine with 119 drones overnight, 97 of which were shot down or suppressed, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Wednesday, UNN writes.

According to the AFU Air Force, on the night of June 17 (from 18:00 on June 16), the enemy attacked with 119 strike UAVs of the Shahed type (including jet-powered ones), Gerbera, Italmas, and "Parody" type decoy drones from the directions of: Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Orel – RF, Chauda – temporarily occupied Crimea.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defense shot down/suppressed 97 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types in the north, south, and east of the country. Hits by 20 strike UAVs were recorded at 11 locations, as well as the fall of downed drones (debris) at 6
The attack is ongoing; several enemy UAVs remain in the airspace.
