52 combat engagements took place over the past day, with the fiercest fighting continuing in the Pokrovsk direction. The enemy is actively shelling the border areas of the Sumy region.
Since the beginning of the day, 52 combat engagements have been recorded on the front, during which Russian troops attacked the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in a number of sectors. The most intense fighting continues in the Pokrovsk, Lyman, and Kostiantynivka sectors. This was reported by the General Staff, according to UNN.
Artillery shelling of border areas continues. Today, in the Sumy region, the settlements of Ryzhivka, Korenok, Sopych, Ulanove, Yastrubshchyna, Novovasylivka, Rohizne, Tovstodubove, Volfyne, and Neskuchne were affected; in the Chernihiv region – Khrinivka. The settlements of Shostka and Bachivsk in the Sumy region were hit by airstrikes
In the Pivnichno-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk sectors, one combat engagement took place; the enemy launched two airstrikes using six guided aerial bombs and carried out 23 shellings of settlements and our troops' positions.
In the Pivdenno-Slobozhanskyi sector, one combat engagement with the enemy occurred in the area of Fyholivka.
In the Kupiansk, Orikhiv, and Prydniprovskyi sectors, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations.
In the Lyman sector, the Defense Forces repelled seven combat engagements in the areas of Drobysheve, Dibrova, Yampil, and Lyman; two engagements are currently ongoing.
In the Sloviansk sector, the Defense Forces successfully repelled four attempts by the invaders to advance in the areas of Zakitne and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, one enemy attack is ongoing in the area of the settlement of Nykyforivka.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, the invaders carried out seven attacks near the settlements of Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, and Rusyn Yar.
In the Pokrovsk sector, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have tried 24 times to dislodge our soldiers from their positions in the areas of Toretske, Novooleksandrivka, Rodynske, Hryshyne, Udachne, Molodetske, and towards the settlements of Kucheriv Yar, Shevchenko, and Bilytske. Two combat engagements are still ongoing.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy attacked once in the area of Ternove.
In the Huliaipole sector, the Defense Forces successfully repelled seven enemy attacks in the area of Pryluky, Zaliznychne, and towards Hirke, Nove Zaporizhzhia, and Staroukrainka.
In other sectors, there have been no significant changes in the situation so far. No attempts by the enemy to advance have been recorded.
