Zelenskyy named the differences in the positions of Ukraine and Russia after the negotiations in Saudi Arabia

Zelenskyy stated that the US will facilitate the return of Ukrainian children, prisoners of war and civilians. The Russians raised the issue of ports and agricultural exports.

According to the results of the meetings between the American and Ukrainian sides in Riyadh, the fifth point in the joint Ukrainian-American statement will concern the return of children, captured military personnel and civilians, and in the Russian statement - the issues of ports and transportation of agricultural products. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, reports UNN.
I think that US statements will appear in the nearest hour. We have been waiting for a long time, I know that the Russians are not complying again, but this is a conversation between the American side and the Russian side. Everyone believed that first of all the Americans should come out with a statement, and then messages from any side. But nevertheless, now we have discussed the latest agreements with Rustem Umerov. There will be two statements based on the results of the agreement - between the Ukrainian and American sides and a separate American-Russian statement. Why? They are a little different
He noted that the parties agreed that there could be silence at sea and free navigation.
It is important that we also discussed infrastructure separately with the American side. We devoted a lot of time to this, what is meant, if there is silence at sea and free navigation, we are also talking about infrastructure. We will see how this will be implemented. The second point is not to strike at the energy system. Let's just say about all the strikes - on the network, on the entire energy sector of the countries - Ukraine and Russia. Separately, we also handed over to the American side the objects that we consider to be strategic infrastructure objects. Because we also came with this, we wanted that, in addition to energy, we would also discuss any civilian infrastructure. This will not be in the statement regarding civilian infrastructure, but we agreed on it
According to him, Ukraine has agreed with the United States that third parties can be involved in monitoring.
That is, for example, someone from Europe, for example, Turkey. That is, these are separate technical issues, but the third point is that control is important, monitoring is important and other countries can be involved in monitoring. The fourth point that the American side proposed... everyone will work to have a stable peace as a result, that is, we are ready, once again we say that we are ready to move quickly to an unconditional ceasefire and further to the next steps towards a stable and just peace. And this is the fourth and fifth point
The Head of State clarified that the fifth point in the statements based on the results of the negotiations differs in the Ukrainian-American and Russian-American versions.
This was not on our agenda before the meeting. The Russians raised the issue, as far as we know, of assistance from the American side to the Russians in transporting their agro-industrial sector, their agricultural products, i.e. issues of ports, tariffs, etc. We did not agree to have this in our general document. We believe that this is a weakening of positions and a weakening of sanctions. (...) We had the issue of the return of children, we had the issue of the exchange of prisoners of war and the exchange of civilians, so we agreed. There will be two statements. In our statement, the fifth point is that America will help us with the return of children, prisoners of war, civilians, and the Russians will have what they agreed with them
Let's add
According to the White House, the United States and Ukraine agreed to ensure safe navigation in the Black Sea, touched upon the issue of prisoner exchange and the ban on strikes on energy facilities.
