Umerov revealed key results of bilateral technical consultations between Ukraine and the US

Ukraine and the USA held negotiations in Riyadh regarding safe navigation in the Black Sea and protection of energy infrastructure. Agreements were reached on a ceasefire and exchange of prisoners.
The teams of Ukraine and the United States of America held bilateral technical consultations in Riyadh. The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, noted that the focus was on the security of energy and critical infrastructure, safe navigation in the Black Sea, and also revealed key results, reports UNN.

According to him, "we continue to work on bringing just peace and ensuring security for our state. This meeting is a logical continuation of successful consultations with the United States in Jeddah. No one strives for just peace more than Ukrainians, our position remains honest, transparent and consistent."
Umerov also outlined the key results of the technical consultations between Ukraine and the USA:
1. All parties agreed to ensure safe navigation (shipping), to stop the use of force, and to prevent the use of commercial vessels for military purposes in the Black Sea. Important! The Ukrainian side emphasizes: the movement of its military vessels by Russia outside the Eastern part of the Black Sea will be considered a violation of the spirit of this agreement and will be considered as a violation of the obligations to ensure freedom of navigation in the Black Sea and a threat to the national security of Ukraine. In this case, Ukraine will have the full right to exercise the right to self-defense.
2. All parties agreed to implement the Presidents' agreements on a complete ban on strikes against the energy infrastructure of Ukraine and Russia.
3. All parties welcome the involvement of third countries to provide support for the implementation of energy and maritime agreements.
4. All parties will continue to work towards achieving sustainable and lasting peace.
5. The US confirmed its support in assisting the exchange of prisoners of war, the release of civilian detainees and the return of forcibly displaced Ukrainian children.
For the effective implementation of the agreements, it is important to hold additional technical consultations as soon as possible to agree on all the details and technical aspects of the implementation, monitoring and control of the agreements
