The President of Ukraine and the President of the EBRD discussed the restoration of the confinement at the Chornobyl NPP. The facility was damaged by a Russian drone in February 2025.
The restoration of the confinement at the Chornobyl NPP, damaged by Russian attacks, was the subject of negotiations between the President of Ukraine and the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Odile Renaud-Basso. This was reported by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, according to UNN.

"In Chornobyl, I met with the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Odile Renaud-Basso. We discussed the consolidation of international assistance for the restoration of the confinement over the 4th power unit of the Chornobyl NPP, which was damaged by a Russian drone in February 2025, as well as for overcoming the long-term consequences of the Chornobyl disaster," Zelenskyy wrote on Telegram.
