Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Rafael Grossi opened the exhibition "Chornobyl: People and Meanings." The President discussed the consequences of Russian strikes on the Chornobyl NPP and nuclear safety.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi took part in the opening of a new permanent exhibition at the National Museum "Chornobyl" – "Chornobyl: People and Meanings." This was reported by the President on Telegram, according to UNN.

The Head of State heard a report from Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko regarding the work to eliminate the consequences of the drone strike by Russian troops on the confinement of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, carried out on February 14 last year, as well as the importance of further support from partners.
Zelenskyy emphasized that it is important to remember the damage Russia caused during the seizure of the Chornobyl NPP and the threat to global nuclear safety posed by the shelling carried out by the aggressor country.
The President thanked the museum staff for their important work and for preserving the memory of the disaster at the Chornobyl NPP. Separately, he expressed gratitude to all the liquidators of this catastrophe.
