What Russia says about Armenia is not about her alone; every neighbor of Russia has heard it – Zelenskyy

Every neighbor of Russia heard the words about Armenia, whose people are the only ones who have the right to and will choose the future for their country, and what Russia says about Armenia is actually not about her alone, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Saturday, UNN reports.

The President pointed out that "Russia could have ended the war with peace long ago, but it chooses to prolong and expand the war itself."

"It is now threatening other neighboring countries as well, and much more overtly than before. Every neighbor of Russia heard the words about Armenia, whose people are the only ones who have the right to and will choose the future for their country. And what Russia says about Armenia is actually not about her alone. Everyone needs to think more about security and take more joint steps so that political partnerships work and so that there are modern defense industries, modern defense competencies, as well as the most extensive, diversified economic ties. So that no one depends on Russia and does not give them the tools to blackmail nations," Zelenskyy emphasized in his traditional evening address.

He pointed out: "We very much hope that Europe's positions on these issues – and the European Union's first and foremost – will be principled, strong, and timely."

"No one can be left without support. Europe has no right to lose any of the peoples, to let go of any of the countries. Armenia must be supported. Moldova must be supported. The Baltic states. Azerbaijan must be supported. Ways must be found to support the people of Georgia, and this is a common European task. No one can be lost. And I am grateful to everyone in Europe who supports us, supports Ukraine – who supports us sufficiently and with exactly those decisions, exactly those steps that can truly help us," the President noted.
