Ukraine received the last tranche from Britain of almost $1 billion from frozen Russian assets

Ukraine received the last tranche from Britain, amounting to almost $1 billion. The funds will be directed to defense capabilities within the framework of the G7 credit mechanism.

Great Britain has transferred almost 1 billion dollars to Ukraine as the last tranche of funds secured by revenues from frozen Russian assets. This was reported by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, according to UNN.
Ukraine received the last tranche from Great Britain amounting to 752 million pounds sterling (about 1 billion US dollars) within the framework of the G7 Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration for Ukraine (ERA) initiative. The funds will be directed to strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities.
The Ministry of Finance reminded that Ukraine received the first two tranches totaling 1.5 billion pounds sterling in March and April 2025.
The funds are part of the G7 ERA mechanism totaling 50 billion US dollars. The loan will be serviced and repaid from future profits received from immobilized Russian sovereign assets. The financing is provided for 30 years.
