Exports from Ukrainian ports via the Black Sea, including through the "security corridor" leading to Romania, have faced intensified Russian attacks on Ukrainian vessels and port infrastructure in recent months.

Sources in Ukraine and Moldova said that Kyiv would like to transport its grain through Moldova to the Romanian port of Constanța at a 50% discount on the nominal tariff.

A source in the "Moldovan Railways" noted that Ukraine had sought a 50% discount during the negotiations. According to the source, Moldova, in turn, proposed that Ukraine provide guarantees regarding the volumes of Ukrainian grain to be transported.
