
Tusk checked how the Polish border with Belarus is protected

Donald Tusk announced the high efficiency of border protection with Belarus. He emphasized the support of the lukashenka regime in the transfer of migrants.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that as of now, 98% of attempts to illegally cross the Polish-Belarusian border were either thwarted or prevented. He added that Poland is also quite successful in detaining smugglers who transport migrants to the EU. It is noted that the head of government, together with Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Ministry of Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration of Poland, Coordinator of Special Services Tomasz Siemoniak visited the Polish border with Belarus near Ozeriany Maly in Podlasie on Saturday.

"We have achieved almost one hundred percent efficiency in blocking illegal crossings. Poland has regained control over its borders!" - he added.
According to PAP, after a briefing with the command of the Polish army, border guard and police, Donald Tusk said that he had received a report confirming "at least organizational and political support" for the transfer of migrants by the administration of the self-proclaimed president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

Tusk noted that "everyone who works on illegal smuggling of migrants is part of this dirty business."
"We have achieved 98 percent detention efficiency, that is, 98 attempts to illegally cross the border were prevented thanks to the decisive position of our soldiers, border guards and police," the Polish Prime Minister noted.

Lithuania plans to strengthen the protection of the border with Russia and Belarus by building fortifications and mining territories. The country is discussing with Poland and Finland the pooling of efforts for defense.
