U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order introducing tariffs on drones and their components. For aircraft weighing more than 25 kg and models with thermal imaging cameras, the tariff will be 100%; for smaller ones, 25%.

It is noted that, from now on, the tariff on drones weighing more than 25 kg and models equipped with thermal imaging cameras will be 100%. Smaller aircraft and other components will be subject to a 25% tariff.
The order imposes a fixed 15% tariff on drones and their components from the European Union, Japan, Liechtenstein, the Republic of Korea, Switzerland, and Taiwan, as well as a fixed 10% tariff on drones from the United Kingdom, provided that the majority of the hardware, software, and technology originate from these countries and the United States
It added that the new tariffs will take effect 21 days after Trump signs the order. At the same time, tariffs on drone components that do not belong to the particularly sensitive category will take effect 180 days after the signing.

Earlier this month U.S. President Donald Trump announced the introduction of a 15% tariff on imports of polysilicon and its derivatives, seeking to reduce U.S. dependence on China in the supply chains for solar panels and semiconductors.
