The head of Ukrainian diplomacy emphasized that Russian attacks are part of a deliberate strategy of terror against the civilian population.
"Russian terror knows no bounds. Today, another Russian missile strike on Kyiv region killed at least six people, with dozens more injured. As a result of strikes with guided aerial bombs on Sloviansk, at least five civilians were killed, and nine others were wounded. Residential buildings, civilian infrastructure, and even a consulate building were damaged," Sybiha stated.
According to him, the Kremlin is also intensifying attacks in the Black Sea area, attempting to threaten freedom of navigation and global food security.
"Moscow is intensifying attacks in the Black Sea, threatening freedom of navigation, disrupting global trade, and trying to take global food security hostage. This is the same campaign of terror, only carried out by other means. The world must realize that the Kremlin's war extends far beyond Ukraine," the minister noted.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the European Union's adoption of the 21st package of sanctions against Russia, but stressed that this is not enough.
"Yesterday, the EU adopted the 21st package of sanctions. It was a timely and necessary decision. But every new Russian missile strike, every attack on civilian shipping, every attempt to blackmail the world with hunger must be met with even tougher sanctions, stricter enforcement, and increased economic pressure," he emphasized.
Sybiha stressed that the international community must use all available mechanisms to raise the cost of Russian aggression.
"Russian terror knows no bounds. Our response must also not be limited. It is necessary to use all available pressure tools to raise the cost of Russian aggression and accelerate the end of this war. The time for gradual decisions is over," the head of Ukrainian diplomacy summarized.
