After the arrest, the officers posed for photos in their costumes alongside the handcuffed detainee. The image quickly went viral on social media. Later, Thai police admitted that some of the popular post-arrest photos were created or edited using artificial intelligence.

"We didn't want to just go out and arrest him; that would be a waste of money on costume rentals,"

– the police wrote jokingly on social media.

This is not the first such case in Thailand – previously, law enforcement officers have used dragon costumes to apprehend suspects.
