The head of Ukrainian diplomacy noted the contribution of Belarusian volunteers, journalists, human rights defenders, and activists to the struggle for freedom.

"Today, as Russia attempts to destroy the very idea of freedom in our region, it is vital to maintain unity among all democratic forces in Europe. Ukrainians and Belarusians share a common interest – to live in free, independent, and secure states,"

Sybiha stated.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared the responsibility of the Lukashenko regime

During the meeting, the parties also discussed the issue of the Alexander Lukashenko regime's responsibility for the aggression against Ukraine.

"The Lukashenko regime bears co-responsibility for the crime of aggression against Ukraine. The Special Tribunal in The Hague will also investigate Lukashenko's involvement. Today, we discussed joint work on gathering evidence,"

the Minister noted.

Separately, Sybiha emphasized the need to hold the Belarusian regime accountable for crimes against Ukrainian children. He also welcomed Tsikhanouskaya's plans to participate in the events of the Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children, which will take place this year in Canada.
