On the night of August 12, Russia launched missiles and 138 drones at Ukraine. Air defense forces shot down or suppressed 112 UAVs; hits were recorded at 16 locations.

Russia launched a ballistic missile, an Kh-31P missile, guided Kh-35 missiles and 138 drones at Ukraine overnight; 112 drones were shot down or suppressed, the Ukrainian Air Force said on Wednesday, without publishing data on the exact number of missiles, UNN writes.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, overnight on August 12 (from 18:00 on August 11), the enemy attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-M ballistic missile, an Kh-31P anti-radar missile, Kh-35 guided air-launched missiles from Rostov Oblast and from the Black Sea, as well as 138 Shahed-type attack UAVs (including jet-powered UAVs, Gerbera drones and Parody-type decoy drones) from the following areas: Kursk, Millerovo, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk — Russia; the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk; and Hvardiiske — the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
"The main direction of the strike was Sumy Oblast and Odesa Oblast," the statement said.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 09:00, air defense had shot down/suppressed 112 enemy Shahed-type UAVs, Gerbera drones and drones of other types in the north, south and east of the country. Hits by enemy air attack weapons were recorded at 16 locations, as well as the fall of downed weapons (debris) at 2 locations
The attack is ongoing; several enemy UAVs are in the airspace.
Update
The day before, Bloomberg reported that Ukraine had stopped reporting the number of missiles launched by Russia during attacks. In its new report, the Ukrainian Air Force did not provide the exact number of missiles launched by Russia, did not differentiate between the enemy's air attack weapons that hit their targets, and did not report any missiles being shot down.
