Russia attacked Ukraine with 70 missiles and 611 drones: air defense results

Russia attacked Ukraine overnight with 70 missiles, including 6 "Zircons" and 34 ballistic missiles, and 611 drones; 50 missiles, including 5 "Zircons" and 15 ballistic missiles, and 582 drones were shot down or suppressed, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Monday, UNN writes.

According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of June 15 (from 18:00 on June 14), the enemy launched a massive combined strike against Ukraine using strike UAVs and various types of air- and ground-based missiles.
"The main direction of the strike was Kyiv. Dnipro and Kharkiv were also attacked with missiles," the report says.
In total, the Radio-Technical Troops of the Air Force detected 681 means of aerial attack – 70 missiles and 611 UAVs of various types:
- 6 3M22 "Zircon" anti-ship missiles (launch areas – temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea);
- 34 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles (launch areas – Bryansk, Kursk regions, RF);
- 30 Kh-101/Iskander-K cruise missiles (launch areas – Vologda, Kursk regions, RF);
- 611 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types, "Banderol" loitering munitions, and "Parody" type decoy drones (from the directions of: Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – RF; Gvardiyske, Chauda, temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea).
The aerial attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, EW units and unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary information, as of 08:00, hits by 20 ballistic missiles and 27 strike UAVs were recorded at 42 locations, as well as the fall of downed UAVs (debris) at 12 locations.
The attack is ongoing; several strike UAVs remain in Ukraine's airspace.
