In Kharkiv region, a private air defense group successfully intercepted a high-speed jet Shahed. The project, based on 19 enterprises, is integrated into the Air Force system.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov reported the first instance of a private air defense system shooting down a Russian jet drone "Shahed" at a speed of 400+ km/h. This happened in the Kharkiv region, UNN reports with reference to Fedorov's social media post.

This is a new level of complexity: the enemy is scaling up the use of jet drones - faster and more difficult to intercept
He added that one of the elements of this system is private groups that enhance the protection of critical infrastructure. The project's goal is to quickly scale up air defense capabilities without additional burden on combat units.
Currently, private air defense groups are being formed at 19 enterprises. They are integrated into a single Air Force command and control system and operate as part of the overall air defense architecture
The next step is to scale up the project and its results. This means more downed targets and faster response to threats, the Minister of Defense noted.
