Oleksiy Danilov was probably dismissed from his post as NSDC secretary because of his controversial statements that damaged Ukraine's image and his lack of communication with the President's entourage.

Oleksiy Danilov could have been dismissed from his post as NSDC Secretary because of a series of unsuccessful statements that damaged Ukraine's image to some extent. The reason could also be a certain conflict or lack of normal communication between Danilov and the President's inner circle. This opinion was expressed to a journalist of UNN by political scientist, head of political and legal programs at the Ukrainian Center for Social Development, Ihor Reiterovych.

"I think the personnel changes are due to at least two key reasons. The first reason is that Danilov made some very unfortunate statements recently, gave some not-so-successful interviews that hurt Ukraine's image to a certain extent. That is, they were ambiguously perceived, for example, by China. In general, he has made many controversial statements in this position, and perhaps the time has come when they have reached a critical mass and some kind of decision had to be made," Reiterowicz said.

According to him, the second reason may be a certain conflict or lack of normal communication between Danilov and the President's inner circle.

"The second reason is that there has been talk for quite some time about a certain conflict or lack of normal communication between Danilov and the President's inner circle. That's why he resigned," Reiterovich said.

The political scientist noted that Danilov was being replaced by a person with a very interesting biography and experience.

"He (former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine Oleksandr Lytvynenko - ed.) will probably not be as public as Danilov was, but he will be dealing with important issues regarding the development of certain processes and repulsing Russian aggression," he said.

Reiterowicz also noted that Danilov has gone down in Ukrainian history to a certain extent.

"It is still interesting to see where Danilov will end up. There are different versions. It doesn't matter whether he becomes an ambassador or not, or just retires, because he has gone down in the history of Ukraine to a certain extent," Reiterovich summarized.

Danilov stated that if the West does not change its attitude toward the aggressor country of the Russian Federation, some European countries may join the China-Russia-Iran axis of evil.
