The Ministry of Culture of Ukraine has added one of the buildings of the Okhmatdyt National Children's Specialized Hospital in Kyiv to the State Register of Immovable Monuments of Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture, according to UNN.

Details

According to Order No. 608 dated May 26, the "Free Hospital Outpatient Clinic 1899-1901" located at 28/1 Viacheslava Chornovola St., where Building No. 9 of the Okhmatdyt hospital currently operates, has been entered into the register under the category of a cultural heritage site of local significance.

As previously reported by the Ministry of Health, the administrative building of the Okhmatdyt NCSH is an architectural monument that sustained damage as a result of the Russian missile attack on July 8, 2024.

Addition

Russian forces launched a targeted strike on the Okhmatdyt children's hospital with a Kh-101 missile on the morning of July 8, 2024. The attack resulted in the deaths of two people—a relative of one of the patients and a doctor who was helping to evacuate children from the hemodialysis department at the moment of the explosion.

Thirty-two people sought medical assistance following the shelling. Due to the significant destruction of the medical facility's infrastructure, more than 600 patients were evacuated to other hospitals.
