NACP finds former Deputy Prosecutor General Verbytskyi with unjustified assets worth UAH 29 million

The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption has found that former Deputy Prosecutor General Dmytro Verbytskyi has acquired unjustified assets worth almost UAH 29 million, including luxury cars, houses and an apartment in Turkey.

The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption has found signs of unjustified assets worth almost UAH 29 million from former Deputy Prosecutor General Dmytro Verbytskyi. UNN reports this with reference to the NAPC.

"The NACP, while monitoring the lifestyle, found signs of a corrupt criminal offense in the actions of the former Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine, which indicate his illegal enrichment of almost UAH 29 million," the report says.

The NACP found that, on behalf of the official, related parties acquired such unjustified assets:

  • a LEXUS ES 300H car worth more than UAH 960 thousand;
  • a LEXUS NX 300H car worth more than UAH 480 thousand;
  • a PORSCHE MACAN T car worth UAH 3.5 million;
  • a house and land plot in Kyiv worth UAH 16.3 million;
  • a house and land plot in Odesa worth UAH 10 million;
  • an apartment and a land plot in Antalya (Turkey) worth UAH 3.9 million.

"In addition, no legal sources of origin of the official's cash of more than UAH 2 million, as well as the Tether cryptocurrency (USDT), have been established. The materials regarding the former Deputy Prosecutor General were sent to the NABU to be attached to the criminal proceedings and to conduct a pre-trial investigation," the NACP added.

The NACP does not name the official, but the report suggests that it is Dmytro Verbytskyi, who was recently dismissed from the post of Deputy Prosecutor General.

Skhemy journalists found out that Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Dmytro Verbytskyi lives in the elite Kyiv cottage community Konik, where his nephew bought a house at a price 6 times lower than the market value.

The journalists also found  that Verbytskyi's girlfriend received elite property worth at least 52 million hryvnias in 2024, without having sufficient official income of her own.

By order of Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin of June 21, Dmytro Verbytskyi's duties were assigned to other deputies.

Earlier, Kostin announced an internal investigation against Dmytro Verbytskyi, who is suspected of illegal enrichment.
