The Russian digital agency that led the nationalist (Kalina) Giorgescu's campaign in Romania is linked to more than 50 Bulgarian companies, most of which operate in the same industry, are registered in the city of Plovdiv and belong to the same person,

The Bulgarian investigation team BG Elves, which tried to expose vote-buying networks in Bulgaria's October elections, reported the discovery of a network of Bulgarian companies owned by a Georgian citizen and linked to the spread of pro-Russian influence in Romania.
The network comes from a company registered in Bulgaria's second largest city, Plovdiv.
The investigation by BG Elves in Bulgaria is based on a journalistic request published by Snoop in Romania on December 3, which identified a key company that connects the networks. This company is registered at an address in Plovdiv.
From this Romanian report, we tracked 51 companies registered in the name of a Georgian citizen. Many were created on the same day, mostly in 2024. We have official email addresses, Facebook profiles, phone numbers, and addresses of many employees of these companies. But there really are hundreds of them. And they are all Russian,
The organization of investigations called on Bulgarian investigative journalists to focus on exposing the mechanisms of Russian influence on social networks. According to the data collected, the Plovdiv business cluster generates hundreds of millions of social media impressions every day, with the largest impact in Romania, Hungary, Greece, Bosnia and Bulgaria.
Companies registered in Bulgaria participate in large-scale advertising campaigns in social networks.
The organization claims that these Bulgarian companies, run by Russians, significantly influenced the results of elections in Romania and Bulgaria, as well as throughout Europe. In this case, we see that the impressions of the content that they promote through their channels reach on average every Bulgarian citizen up to 10 times a month. But because the content is targeted, we are literally talking about bombing specific populations.
