Belarus reported a phone conversation between Macron and Lukashenko at France's initiative. The parties discussed regional issues and relations with the EU.

Belarus has claimed that the French side initiated a telephone conversation between President Emmanuel Macron and Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko. This was reported by BelTA with reference to Lukashenko's press service, according to UNN.

As reported, Macron and Lukashenko discussed "regional problems and Belarus's relations with the EU and France in particular."
The French side has not yet reported on the conversation.
As a reminder
Lukashenko called aggression against Belarus the only reason for entering the war. He also stated his readiness to meet with Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
