Over the weekend, July 12 and 13, contrasting weather is expected in Ukraine: up to +38 degrees in the east, and +21 to +25 degrees in the west. Localized rain with thunderstorms is expected, particularly in Kyiv on Saturday evening.

More than 500 foreigners from 28 countries have died at the front in Russia's war against Ukraine. Among them, the majority are citizens of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, many of whom ended up at the front from Russian penal colonies.

The European Court of Human Rights found Russia guilty of systemic human rights violations in the occupied territories of Ukraine since 2014, including executions, torture, and deportations. The decision covers four major proceedings, including the Netherlands' claim regarding the downing of MH17 and the full-scale invasion.

Russian troops attacked Donetsk region with aerial bombs and drones, killing 8 civilians and injuring 3 more. The occupiers shelled Rodynske, Kostiantynivka, and Zvanivka community, damaging civilian objects and a vehicle with humanitarian aid.

The European Court of Human Rights will announce its decision on July 9 in the case "Ukraine and the Netherlands v. the Russian Federation". The case concerns systemic human rights violations in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and the downing of flight MH17.

The Center of National Resistance published a report on the situation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine in the first half of 2025. Russia is militarizing the TOT, creating new military bases and depleting Ukrainian resources, which leads to a humanitarian catastrophe.

Police reported suspicion to 22 employees of the Kalininska correctional colony in Donetsk region, who since 2014 tortured Ukrainians, holding them as prisoners of war and civilian hostages. They used brutal torture, beatings, and psychological violence, forcing them to sing the Russian anthem.

During the night and day, Russian troops launched strikes on Kramatorsk and Kostiantynivka. In Kramatorsk, an FPV drone hit a car service station, while in Kostiantynivka, a FAB-250 aerial bomb damaged an educational institution, and FPV drones damaged private houses and an apartment building.

Russian occupiers regrouped a month ago, making the Novopavlivka direction a priority, and have some success there. They use the tactic of advancing in small groups, despite significant losses, accumulating in destroyed villages.

In Melitopol, the arrival of Russian Armed Forces personnel, equipment, and weaponry has been recorded. The units are reinforced with contract soldiers and mobilized personnel from the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk, Luhansk, and Kherson regions.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced conditions for ending the war, including recognition of annexed territories and demilitarization of Ukraine. He also demands the lifting of sanctions, the return of assets, and Ukraine's neutral status.

The indictment against the current Head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, Pavlo Kyrylenko, on charges of illegal enrichment of over UAH 72 million and declaring false information has been sent to court. The investigation established that in 2020–2023, he acquired 21 real estate objects and a luxury car, registering the property in the name of his wife's relatives.

On July 7, Russian occupiers shelled Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. The head of the city military administration, Oleksandr Honcharenko, reported casualties.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on massive Russian attacks: 1270 drones, 39 missiles, and almost a thousand guided aerial bombs (KABs) were launched in a week. The strikes resulted in injuries, including children, and one fatality in Odesa.

Over the past day, July 6, Russian occupation forces lost 1,100 servicemen, 3 tanks, and 33 artillery systems in Ukraine. The total combat losses of the enemy from 24.02.22 to 07.07.25 amount to over 1 million eliminated personnel.

Ukrainian forces recently advanced in the Borova area, while Russian invaders advanced in the Novopavlivka area. The Russian army also captured Piddubne in Donetsk Oblast and Lobkove in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

The analytical project DeepState reported on the occupation by Russian troops of the settlements of Lobkove in the Zaporizhzhia region and Piddubne in the Donetsk region. The enemy also advanced near Stepove and Rivnopil.

As a result of Russian shelling of Donetsk region on July 6, 5 people were killed and one was injured. Kostiantynivka was subjected to airstrikes and missile shelling, Druzhkivka – to an FPV drone attack.

President Zelenskyy reported on eight stages of a major exchange, as a result of which hundreds of Ukrainians have returned since June. Among them are defenders of Mariupol, military personnel, and civilians who had been in captivity since 2022.

Ukrainian partisans of the "ATESH" movement destroyed a relay cabinet near Debaltseve in Donetsk region. This disrupted logistics and delayed supplies for Russian troops in the Donetsk direction.

Russian troops are trying to break through in the Pokrovsk direction towards Kostiantynivka and west towards Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Pressure has increased in the Lyman, Kupyansk directions, Vovchansk, and Chasiv Yar.

Viktor Tregubov, spokesperson for OSGT "Khortytsia", stated that fighting with Russian occupiers is taking place in Donetsk Oblast, not Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Russia attempted to spread disinformation about fighting in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

Over the past day, 183 combat engagements were recorded on the Russian-Ukrainian front. Ukrainian defenders repelled numerous enemy attacks, inflicting significant losses on them, including 1050 personnel and 56 artillery systems.
