U.S. Secretary of State
Marco Antonio Rubio was born on May 28, 1971, in Miami, Florida, to Cuban immigrant parents. In 1993, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Florida, and in 1996, a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law. He served as a West Miami City Commissioner, then in the Florida House of Representatives, and later represented Florida in the U.S. Senate from 2011 to 2025. As of 2025, he is the 72nd Secretary of State of the United States, as well as the acting National Security Advisor.
