"It will be a strong response to Russian aggression" - Zelenskyy urged the EU to accelerate Ukraine's accession and open all clusters

Zelenskyy welcomed the opening of the first cluster of negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU. The President urged partners not to delay the opening of other stages.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the opening of the first cluster in the accession negotiations for Ukraine and Moldova is a clear signal that Europe's progress cannot be stopped. Zelenskyy reported this on Telegram, according to UNN.
"We believe that one of the strongest responses Europe can give to Russian attacks and constant acts of aggression is to accelerate our accession process, to speed up the opening of clusters. It often feels as though we always have to fight harder than others to move forward on our path to the EU. Ukraine has earned the right to move faster, and this is exactly the kind of political decision Europe needs today. And we are ready for the opening of all clusters,"
He noted that Ukraine has done its job, and "everyone in Europe knows it."
"So let us move forward with the opening of clusters without delay—the remaining five clusters after today's opening of the first one. What is happening today—the opening of the first cluster in the accession negotiations for Ukraine and Moldova—is a clear signal that Europe's progress cannot be stopped,"
The President emphasized that Ukraine has worked hard to reach this moment.
"In recent years, Ukraine and Moldova have taken important steps together. And it is especially, especially symbolic that today I am addressing you from Chisinau on my way to France, for the G7 summit. Our neighborly relations with Moldova are strong. We support each other, we are moving toward the EU together, and together we will achieve this goal,"
As a reminder
On Monday, the European Union officially opened the first stage of accession negotiations with Ukraine, ending a two-year delay caused by the Hungarian veto.
