US may delay arms deliveries to Europe due to war with Iran - Reuters

Due to depleted stockpiles, the US has warned the Baltic and Scandinavian countries about arms delivery delays. The burden has increased due to Iranian attacks and aid to Ukraine.

The United States has warned a number of European countries about possible delays in arms supplies due to the depletion of stocks amid the war with Iran. This is reported by Reuters with reference to sources, writes UNN.
Details
According to the agency's interlocutors, several states are involved, including the Baltic and Scandinavian countries. Some of the weapons were purchased under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program, but have not yet been delivered.
These deliveries are expected to be delayed.
Reasons for delays
The delays are due to the fact that the war against Iran is creating an additional burden on the US defense industry.
Since the beginning of the conflict, Tehran has carried out hundreds of ballistic missile and drone attacks, most of which have been intercepted, including with PAC-3 Patriot missiles.
Sources note that American arms stockpiles have already been significantly reduced after aid to Ukraine since 2022 and support for Israel.
Against this background, there are fears that the United States will not be able to simultaneously satisfy all external requests for arms supplies.
The White House and the Pentagon have not officially commented on the information. The State Department redirected inquiries to the US Department of Defense.
