U.S. intelligence warned Europe that Putin is preparing a "hybrid" attack against the Baltic states and Poland. UNN reports this with reference to Bloomberg.
Details
According to the publication's authors, Russian intelligence services are considering carrying out so-called hybrid warfare operations, which may include infrastructure sabotage or "false flag" attacks.
At the same time, it cannot be ruled out that Russia simply wants to create the impression that it is considering escalating attacks in Europe in order to sow fear as part of an information operation.
The greatest concern at present is caused by a series of sabotage operations. From assassinations to accidental drone or missile launches, from "little green men" operating in or near the Baltic states to explosions at various facilities
These warnings came after Leipzig/Halle Airport in Germany - an important NATO military logistics hub and the European base of the Ukrainian airline "Antonov Airlines" - temporarily suspended flights last week. This happened after a drone was discovered near a Ukrainian aircraft.
We remind you
Russia is already testing NATO's response to military aggression and may move on to more dangerous provocations. At the same time, Europe's weak points remain the low pace of defense production and shortages of certain types of weapons.
