Umerov discussed Ukraine's defense needs with his French counterpart in Paris

Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov arrived in France, where he met with his French counterpart Sébastien Lecornu. They discussed strengthening the Ukrainian army and enhancing security support, UNN reports, citing the Ministry of Defense.

The ministers discussed strengthening the Ukrainian army, the status of military aid, and further enhancing security support.

Overall, the following key areas were discussed:

• air defense;

• missiles;

• ammunition;

• aviation;

• armored vehicles;

• development of the defense industry and the launch of joint weapons production.

Umerov and Lecornu also separately discussed security guarantees for achieving a just and lasting peace in Ukraine and Europe. They also talked about preparations for the summit at the level of heads of state under the leadership of France.
