Ukrainian airline SkyUp Airlines will resume regular flights from April 2025 and will be based in Chisinau. This was reported by the company's press service on its website, UNN reports.
Details
It is noted that the company has chosen the airport in Chisinau (Moldova) as its base, which, according to SkyUp representatives, is a convenient logistical solution in the current conditions of closed skies over Ukraine.
The demand for travel to visit relatives, maintain business relations, diplomatic efforts, humanitarian activities or journalistic duties, while continuing to inform the world about events in Ukraine, remains high. Taking into account these needs and requirements, we have chosen Chisinau Airport as one of the closest international hub airports near the border with Ukraine. This makes it a practical and reliable choice for organizing international routes.
From Chisinau, SkyUp aircraft will fly to eight destinations:
Paris (France) - Monday, Friday
Lisbon (Portugal) - Friday
Barcelona - Wednesday,
Alicante - Monday, Friday,
Palma de Mallorca - Wednesday, Saturday (Spain)
Larnaca (Cyprus) - three times a week
Thessaloniki - Tuesday,
Heraklion - Monday, Wednesday, Saturday (Greece)
According to Dmytro Seroukhov, CEO of SkyUp Airline, the company has had a hard time since the start of the full-scale invasion. To keep the team, fleet, and operations, it had to quickly adapt to the global aviation market.
Recall
Several airlines have expressed interest in resuming flights to Ukraine if security and insurance conditions improve.
