As reported by the Office of the President, the performance of scientists will be determined in 14 fields annually. The methodology for evaluating stipend recipients has already been approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

The developments of Ukrainian scientists will be verified in national and international databases.

"2,650 leaders of this rating will receive a monthly stipend of 10,000 UAH for 2 years. Payments will begin in August. In particular, support is provided for young scientists, women in science, and veteran scientists," the Office of the President stated.

At Zelenskyy's meeting with scientists, they discussed the development of sky protection systems, especially the development of modern air defense and, in particular, anti-ballistics. Separately, they discussed new technologies in the space industry and the possible inclusion of university developments and student projects in the state space program. In addition, they spoke about the need to support other socially important projects, their challenges, scaling, and funding.

"We really want to increase salaries accordingly and fund relevant programs. We will do everything we can. We have already realized that where there are technologies, there is opportunity, there is strong defense, strong science, and a strong army. All of this is absolutely interconnected today," Zelenskyy emphasized.

The Head of State was also presented with developments by Ukrainian scientists in the fields of defense and medicine. In particular, various types of drones that already have successful combat applications, ground robotic systems with combat modules for shooting down FPV drones and replacing soldiers at positions, as well as improved electronic warfare (EW) equipment. Additionally, there are developments regarding heart surgeries on the wounded without stopping the organ's function.

During the meeting, the President honored the scientists with state awards and conferred honorary titles.
