Turkey will deploy approximately 70,000 security personnel to protect participants and ensure the security of the NATO summit, which will take place in Ankara on July 7-8. This was reported by TRT Haber, according to UNN.

It is noted that counter-terrorism units, intelligence, cybersecurity, public safety, police special forces, radiation, chemical, biological, and nuclear (CBRN) defense teams, traffic police, and gendarmerie units will be involved in securing the event.

During the summit, enhanced security measures will be implemented around airports, accommodation sites, routes, and meeting centers. Gendarmerie groups will be deployed along airport routes. Security checks will be tightened at entry points to Ankara,

It is indicated that the leaders of all NATO member countries, as well as the heads of nine states invited as guests, will participate in the summit. In particular, the aircraft of US President Donald Trump and the aircraft of other participants are expected to arrive at Etimesgut Airport.
