US President Donald Trump stated that the Strait of Hormuz must remain open to all countries, and the United States will "monitor" the situation in the region. He made this comment to journalists, as reported by CNN and UNN.

Trump emphasized that he would not agree to any short-term deal that would allow Iran or Oman to control the strait.

At the same time, Trump warned Oman against potential interference in the issue of control over the Strait of Hormuz.
