Ukraine maintains constant contact with the United States and expects positive news during the G7 summit. At the same time, the issue of a possible meeting between the presidents of Ukraine and the US remains open due to the coordination of schedules. This was reported by Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi during a briefing, according to UNN.

"It is probably too early to talk about a meeting with the United States, because the leaders' schedules are being coordinated. Not only our leader's, but various leaders'. However, we are always in favor of a meeting and in contact with the American side. Recently, there was contact between the President and representatives of President Trump. There was a conversation. We are trying to reach good, big news precisely during the G7 summit period. I won't go deeper into details for now. And, of course, if it were possible to organize a meeting between the presidents, we would be 'for' it. But it is probably still a bit early to say; we will see how the schedules are coordinated,"
