Tusk believes Poland must be involved in negotiations to end the war in Ukraine

Poland must be involved in negotiations aimed at ending the war in Ukraine. This was stated by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a press conference, UNN reports. 

This morning I had a long conversation with Chancellor Merz, who explained his motivation and presented in detail the results, or rather the progress, because there are no results, the progress of the negotiations in London. I said that from Poland's point of view, no agreements in which Poland does not participate will be respected by us. That is, they will not be binding for us, and Poland is an absolutely essential link for talking about the future of Ukraine and the region seriously and for real, 

He stated that he is "very cautious about those ideas appearing in the western part of Europe regarding starting some kind of dialogue or conversation with Putin on the matter of Ukraine as soon as possible." 

First of all, it is worth being in constant contact with the Ukrainian side here, so that there are no doubts. What we have today, these problems with Ukraine—that is one thing, but as far as the war with Russia is concerned, we are all on the same side. Therefore, a very important thing for me, and it must be unambiguous, is that no one in Europe will play arbiter between Russia and Ukraine. In this war, we are on Ukraine's side. Ukraine cannot lose this war. Russia cannot win this war, 

According to him, agreements regarding the future, if they affect Poland or the wider region in any way, cannot be made without Poland.
