The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine summoned the Head of the Patrol Police Department, Yevhen Zhukov, to a plenary session to report on the actions of his subordinates during the high-profile events of April 18, 2026, in Kyiv. According to the document, Zhukov is to appear before the Verkhovna Rada on April 29 at 12:00 and report on the actions of patrol police officers during the events in the capital.
The draft resolution also states that the parliament proposes to recognize the work of the Patrol Police Department in ensuring public safety in Kyiv on April 18 as unsatisfactory.
In addition, the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Head of the National Police are recommended to consider the issue of Zhukov's suitability for his position.
Currently, this is a draft resolution that must be considered and voted on in the Verkhovna Rada.
