The Cabinet of Ministers is allocating 2 billion hryvnias for 200 frontline and border communities in nine regions of Ukraine. The funds will be used for security needs, restoration and construction of shelters.

Government officials have agreed on the first contribution of UAH 2 billion to support 200 frontline and border communities. This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a video address, reports UNN.

... following the results of communication with our communities in Chernihiv region yesterday. We agreed with the communities that we will provide special support for frontline communities and for border communities bordering russia. Today, government officials have already agreed on the parameters of support. We are talking about the first contribution - at least it will be 2 billion hryvnias for 200 communities in Donetsk region, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv region, Kherson region, Sumy region, Chernihiv region, Mykolaiv region and Luhansk region. Also - communities of Dnipropetrovsk region 

- Zelenskyy said.

He added that "we will look at the result of the use of these funds and we will continue this financial support".

This is money that can be used additionally for the most pressing security needs - what concerns primarily the protection of people, repair and restoration, special transport, construction of shelters. I instructed the government to promptly send funds to communities - Zelenskyy summarized.
