Russia strengthens air defense around Moscow, leaving border regions unprotected – intelligence

Seven new Pantsir systems will be installed around Moscow. Meanwhile, in the Belgorod region, house repairs have been halted and residents have been left without mobile internet.

Russia is strengthening its air defense system around the Moscow region, while border regions, particularly the Belgorod region, are seeing a deterioration in infrastructure restoration and security levels. This was reported by the Foreign Intelligence Service, according to UNN.
In mid-May, Russian authorities began further strengthening the defense of the Moscow region. Plans include building seven more new positions for "Pantsir" anti-aircraft missile and gun systems. At the same time, the situation in Russia's border regions looks completely different. In the Belgorod region, authorities have not only forgotten about air defense but have also stopped restoring damaged houses,
In particular, residents of the Grayvoron district say that previously damaged houses were repaired even after repeated strikes, but now such assistance has ceased. Russians are repairing their homes, eliminating the consequences of fires, and helping evacuate the wounded on their own, as emergency services refuse to arrive.
The head of the Grayvoron district administration, Dmitry Pankov, stated that he is aware of the problem but explained the lack of restoration work by the "tense operational situation."
Meanwhile, the new governor of the Belgorod region, Alexander Shuvayev, is facing dissatisfaction from local residents for failing to fulfill a promise to restore normal mobile internet. A new problem has been added to this – a number of neighborhoods in the Belgorod district have also been left without home internet due to damage to a main fiber-optic cable. The restoration timeline is unknown. Given that the SZRU (Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine) has already reported that Shuvayev has no experience in civil administration, there is a high probability that the Belgorod region will remain without both air defense and normal internet.
As a result, the situation is cynical: the Russian authorities instantly concentrate resources on protecting Moscow and the elite areas around the capital, but effectively abandon their own citizens in the border regions to their fate,
