Raped his daughter for years and filmed it – court finds Cherkasy resident guilty

A court in the Cherkasy region has found a 37-year-old man guilty of raping his own minor daughter and crimes related to child pornography. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Office of the Prosecutor General.

Details

The investigation established that the man committed sexual violence against his own daughter over a long period of time when his wife was not at home. This first occurred in 2021, when the girl was 10 years old. Subsequently, he continued to do so in 2024-2025.

The child was afraid to talk about what she had experienced, as she perceived it as a source of shame. The investigation also established that the perpetrator recorded his criminal acts on video and stored the corresponding files on his phone.

In addition, he intentionally accessed graphic child pornography files using the internet and also stored them on his own phone

The father, who committed sexual crimes against his own daughter, was detained in 2026. He was found guilty of rape, sexual violence, committing acts of a sexual nature with a person under the age of sixteen, as well as crimes related to child pornography.

The aforementioned crimes are provided for under Part 4 of Art. 152, Part 3 of Art. 153, Part 2 of Art. 155, and Parts 1, 3, 4 of Art. 301-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of these articles provides for a maximum penalty of up to 15 years of imprisonment.
