Polish farmers continue to block truck traffic at three checkpoints on the Ukraine-Poland border, not allowing a single truck to cross into Poland over the past day, resulting in queues of about 600 trucks.

Polish farmers continue to block the movement of trucks at three checkpoints on the border with Ukraine - Yahodyn, Uhryniv and Rava-Ruska - and over the past day, not a single truck has been allowed to cross into Poland. At the same time, there are about 600 trucks in the queues in Poland. This was reported by the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko, in a commentary to UNN.

Details

Demchenko pointed out that Polish farmers continue to block truck traffic at the three checkpoints, allowing several trucks to pass through per hour or limiting traffic altogether.

As of now, the blockade is still in place at the Yahodyn, Rava-Ruska and Uhryniv checkpoints. Over the past day, Polish protesters did not allow trucks to cross into Poland at all through these three checkpoints. They also did not allow any trucks to cross into Ukraine through Uhryniv

- Demchenko said.

According to him, the protesters allow an extremely small number of trucks to leave Poland per day through Yagodyn.

"Over the past day, there were 70 of them, despite the fact that this is the largest infrastructure area for crossing the border by trucks, which is capable of passing about 1,400 trucks in both directions," he added.

He said that as of this morning, there are about 600 trucks in total queuing at these three blocked checkpoints in Poland. Cars and buses cross the border freely everywhere, and there are no restrictions on traffic for this category of vehicles on the other side of the border.

"There are still queues at the previously unblocked directions of the Krakivets and Shehyni checkpoints. 900 and 450 trucks respectively. However, there is heavy traffic in these areas both to leave Ukraine and to enter, in accordance with the capacity of each checkpoint," he summarized.

Recall

Around 150 people a day are denied crossing the border due to lack of necessary documents to obtain the appropriate permit, while cases of illegal crossing are recorded almost daily, most of them in the direction of Moldova and Romania.
